Bradt College Program
ENVENTION, LLC SPONSORS SIGNIFICANT DONATION TO PATRIOT BROS ORGANIZATION
Donation made in honor of retired Systems Engineering Lead James Bradt
ENVENTION, LLC, a Department of Defense contractor providing Software, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity and User Experience (UX) solutions, announced in August 2022 a significant donation to the Patriot Bros.
The donation was made in honor of James “Jim” Bradt, who made many compelling contributions to the success of the Patriot system during his career at the Lower Tier Project Office (LTPO), where he achieved the title of Systems Engineering Lead for the program. His dedication, vision, relentlessly high standards, and infectious team player attitude brought many years of success to the Patriot mission. To commemorate his noteworthy impact, the Patriot Bros have earmarked this donation as the Bradt College Program (BCP), a moniker that cleverly captures both the namesake of its honoree and the program supported by both Mr. Bradt and the ENVENTION team. Although Mr. Bradt has retired from his position at LTPO, his commitment to the Patriot program is evident in his return from retirement, to support Patriot through a new position at Department of Defense (DoD) contractor KBR.
ENVENTION donates annually to organizations that are nominated by the employees of the company. Past recipients include Kids to Love, Wounded Warriors, North Alabama Food Bank, House of the Harvest / Harvest House Ministries, Rose of Sharon, Huntsville Hospital Foundation, and Free2Teach. This year’s nomination to support the Patriot Bros presented a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the Warfighters that use their products.
“We are so pleased to make this donation to the Patriot Bros,” said Co-Founder and Co-CEO Tina Barnes. “Over the years, we have met many of our Warfighters in training and exercises, and had the experience of watching them use our products. It’s been rewarding and very educational for us, because we always learn the most when we get to see how our software is really used. We always say that you never really know until you’ve walked a mile in their boots, and we keep them in mind as we are building software for them. So we love that this donation will go directly into their hands to help further their careers.” David Ramsden, Co-Founder, Co-CEO and President of ENVENTION, added, “All of us were happy for Jim when he retired, but none of us were surprised when he came back to support the program. Jim always had a way of getting all of the teams to work together, to solve hard problems, with no boundaries. To Jim, we say ‘Congratulations and welcome back!’”
ENVENTION was founded in 2010 by two colleagues and friends working together as software developers on the Patriot Tactical Command System (TCS) / Battery Command Post (BCP) program. Together, the employees of ENVENTION now have decades of experience developing the technologies used by Patriot TCS/BCP, which has been fielded since 1984 and continues to be relied upon by our Warfighters and Allies across the globe. Since its inception, the company has grown in both size and scope, now with 30+ employees, and supporting several prominent DoD programs with a host of products and services. ENVENTION’s corporate culture is strongly rooted in delivering value to their end users, the very recipients of the Patriot Bros scholarships. One of their corporate values is “We do it right because we’re part of the fight” - a testament to the motivation driving their team to bring their very best, every day.
